Grown Folks Music by DJ Flip Uno

So the other week, my friend Los and I were talking about our favorite breaks. It was unfortunate that I could not  find all my tracks on my iPod.  It is even more unfortunate that last Friday, some petty thief broke my car window and stole my iPod along with some other goods, but this is besides the point. After talking about original classics, I decided to head back to my battle station to organize my favorite oldies-but-goodies joints in the iTunes collection, then went one step further and put together a 20 minute mix, which I labeled, Grown Folks Music.  After some positive feedback from my inner circle, I’ve decided to share my first installment of Grown Folks Music with the rest of you.  There are no special FX or crazy tricks, just good old fashion, quality music.  Let me know what you think.

The mix includes:

“You Are Number One” by The Whispers (as sampled by Visionaries in “The Blessings” and 213 in “I’m Fly”)

“Bumpy’s Lament” by Soul Mann & The Brothers (most notably for” Xxplosive” by Dr. Dre)
