Gin’s Outta My Head

As I was going through my emails, I happened to check out this video promoting a female artist. As the video played, I heard a real laid back instrumental sampling the classic 60′s R&B song “Goin’ Out of My Head” by Little Anthony and the Imperials. Slowly winning over, I kept listening to the track, hearing conscious and smooth lyrics, only to realize that the female MC looked really familiar, so I found her contact information and emailed her. Sure enough, it’s the home girl Gin from the Los Angeles area doing her thing. I hadn’t seen her for maybe nine years back when Fresh Off the Beats use to host events in Irvine, but discovered that she’s been on her grind this whole time. She even has an EP out “My Lyrical Expression.” Big ups, Gin!
